Omicron Video: Omni-Gen 701 / Omni-Gen 702
Connection: Video Socket (Amiga 23pin) |
The Omni-gen is an external genlock for the Amiga. The 701 is the NTSC version whilst the 702 is the PAL version. The 701 is capable of producing broadcast quality video in standard composite or Y/C 358. Keyer and Fade-to-Black controls are located on the remote control. It contains a built-in broadcast standard sync generator conforming to RS170A which provides capabilities to adjust the phase of horizontal pulses and sub carrier. The genlock doesn't require the use of a TBC on order to operate with a VCR. Sine squared comb filtering is provided to minimise the horizontal crawl effect. The 702 is almost the same, except that it outputs video in PAL according to I/CCIR 624-1 and Y/C 443 standards and doesn't support comb filtering.
