The Amiga-Link is a networking solution which uses the external floppy drive port of the Amiga. It uses the same coax cabling as 10Base2 Ethernet (RG-58U/50Ohm) but is NOT compatible. The Amiga-Link is capable of transferring at about 50k/sec and supports up to 20 machines on a maximum cable length of 100 metres. The Amiga-Link requires at least Kickstart 1.2, but Kickstart 2.0+ is highly recommended. The external floppy drive can still be used, providing that it has a pass-through port. One exception to this is the A1010 because its pass-through port is not powered. The Amiga-Link is also not compatible with SX-1
The AmigaLink may be the same device as the Disknet, but this has not been confirmed.
