The A500+ looks almost identical the original A500, however there are significant differences and was a popular successor, especially amongst gamers. The A500+ was also supplied with the A520 to allow it to connect directly to a standard television. The A500+ had a green power LED and an amber floppy drive LED. Whenever the audio filters were activated, the power light would be dimmed. This differs from early A500's which had a red power LED and a green floppy drive LED. The power light would actually switch off whenever the audio filters were activated. Later A500's had a similar light configuration to the A500+. The vast majority of A500+'s were supplied with 1MB of CHIP RAM and the ECS chipset, however some A500+'s had a similar specification to the original 500 consisting of OCS and only 512K CHIP RAM however they were still supplied with Kickstart 2.04. This was probably during a transistion period when moving from the A500 to the A500+. Commodore often used 'old stock' to save money.
