E3B: Highway USB
Connection: Zorro II |
This picture shows an earlier prototype of the card
The Highway is a half length Zorro II card which provides the Amiga with USB ports. It supports USB up to version 2.0 although without high-speed mode. The card contains an integrated 4-port USB hub. The card also contains a 38pin expansion header for use with the Norway ethernet module or HyperCom 3i. The card requires at least an 030@25Mhz and AmigaOS 3.1 to operate. The Highway is similar to the Algor, except that it does not have FlashROM and has an 4-port USB hub instead of 3-port. There is however an additional expansion for the Highway called the Romulus which gives it the FlashROM capability.
